Is it possible that whatever the circumstance in which I now find myself is the chosen means of God to work out His purpose in my life? Is He soveriegn? loving? Certainly. There was that cross thing, remember? What about my sin and the evil around me? I doubt that He's surprised.

I wonder what Joseph was thinking as he sat in the bottom of the well in a couple of feet of bat guano. Do you think He had a clue that God was not only dealing with his multicolored pride, but was working out His grand story of redemption in and through him. I guess he did have the dream and knew that God was going to do something with him.

That's comforting.

The scripture is full of the great promises of God to perfect us into the image of his Son. Isn't it great to know that our Father is shaping us, stripping away all the things that don't look like Christ and it's all about us...actually it isn't about us, its about Him, that He may recieve glory.
